Welcome
I am a clinical mental health counselor and an educator. I have been in private practice for almost a decade. During this time, I have encountered hundreds of individuals to listen to their narratives and to help them heal in some way. Additionally, I have my own story, which I may choose to self-disclose at appropriate times to help with your care. I am candid with care, authentic, and honest. I am not the therapist who head nods and remains silent. I am not the therapist who uses psychological jargon and trendy words to diagnose and label. Labels lack significance in the grand scheme of helping you achieve mental, emotional, and physical wellness.
I hold conversations with you to not check off boxes. I do it because I truly care and want to help. I attentively listen and challenge you. I push you when needed. We don't dance around problems, but address them. We don't run away from impasse, conflict, or disagreement. We address them together, in session. I also support you to be your biggest cheerleader. But, I won't support unhealthy and maladaptive behaviors and decisions. I won't support harming others and yourself due to denial and feigning ignorance. I foster relationships of integrity, accountability, honesty, mutual respect, and authenticity. I promote self-love, respect, confidence and esteem. If this sounds like a therapeutic or coaching relationship that you're looking for, click to learn more about my experience and how it can benefit you.
